The airline Thai Vietjetair will part with the last remaining Airbus jets by 2024 and will be active as a pure Boeing operator in the future. In the future, more international routes will be offered.

At the moment, Thai Vietjetair is mainly active within Thailand. In recent months, non-stop connections to Vietnam, Japan, China, Cambodia, Singapore and Taiwan have been started or at least announced. The company will also expand its presence on the Australian market in the future, because in addition to the existing Melbourne route, it will set course for Sydney from Ho Chi Minh.

Currently, Thai Vietjetair’s fleet consists of 12 Airbus A320-200 and six A321-200. In the future, the Boeing 737-Max-8 will be operated, because 50 copies have been ordered, which are to be delivered step by step. By the end of 2024, the European manufacturer’s aircraft should leave the fleet.

All machines of the types A320 and A321 are a kind of loan from Vietjetair. The affected aircraft will be returned to this company in the course of the changeover to Boeing 737-Max-8.
